Terms of Service

Travilet — Find toilets anywhere you travel

Last updated: 6 August 2026

These terms cover your use of Travilet at app.travilet.com and any app-store versions. By using Travilet you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

What Travilet is

Travilet is a free, community-maintained map of public toilets. The information comes from members of the public and from open data such as OpenStreetMap. It is offered as a helpful guide, not as a guaranteed record.

Accuracy — please read this

We cannot guarantee that any toilet listed exists, is open, is clean, or is accessible. Facilities close, change hours, and fall into disrepair. Details may be out of date or simply wrong. Always use your own judgement, especially if you are relying on accessibility features.

Where an entry shows when it was last confirmed, treat an old date with caution.

Your account

Adding and editing content

When you add a toilet, upload a photo, write a review, or edit an existing entry, you agree that:

You keep ownership of what you contribute, but you give Travilet a free, worldwide licence to display, store and distribute it as part of the map, including in app-store versions.

Community editing

Other signed-in users may correct details you have added, and you may correct theirs. Every edit is logged with its previous values. Deliberately vandalising entries, adding fake toilets, or editing maliciously will result in your account being removed.

What you must not do

Moderation

We may remove any content, hide any photo, or suspend any account, at our discretion, to keep the map trustworthy and safe. Photos reported by two independent users are hidden automatically pending review.

Availability

Travilet is provided free and "as is". We do not promise it will always be available, accurate, or error-free, and we may change or discontinue it at any time.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Travilet and its operator are not liable for any loss, injury, inconvenience, or damage arising from your use of the app or from relying on information in it — including travelling to a toilet that turns out to be closed, unclean, or inaccessible.

Third-party services

Travilet uses OpenStreetMap, Nominatim and OSRM for map data, search and routing, and may hand off to Google Maps or Apple Maps for external navigation. Their terms apply to those services. Map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors, used under the Open Database Licence.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of Sharjah, UAE.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Continuing to use Travilet means you accept the updated terms.
